Adjustable heels

What the…I am sure this designer means well, but he forgets one crusual thing. Women do NOT want a shoe that eliminates all reasons to bye other shoes. Women do NOT want a shoe, that takes multiple functions, leaving the woman with one pair of shoe in the closet and with no variation in design and colour. It will be the same as stating, that I want to invent the underpant you never need to change….EEEWWWW!

Give the guy money, never to invent this shoe.

Vacation shoes

August 17, 2006 at 6:36 am (confessions)

I have been on vacation and no vacation for a shoelover without buying shoes. Only problem is when you vacate in a country with few great shoe options. One might argue – why the heck go to such a country, but family relatives has their own ways of enforcing you their own private idea of fun. Anyway I visited my dad in Slovakia and yes, they do have shoes. And no, not great shoes – but hey, it’s shoes, so I have to buy.

So, I bought:
Compfy sandal
Really conpfortable hiking sandals, with a good sole grip.

Then I went crazy and bought yet another pair of funky compfy shoes:
Orange compfy shoes
They are really cute, but really horrible to wear. They are going to be in my black shoebox with all the other “nice-to-have-around-shoes-but-there-is-no-chance-in-hell-I-will-wear-them-in-public-too-much” – almost like having a home jumpsuit in velvet – all the way back in the closet.

Luckily I was off to Korea, and man, they do have shoes. I started out buying these nice sandals for work:
Shoes bought at the metro station
They are made of leather and are as cute as they are compfortable and I am really happy for this buy.

Finally came the best buy – and I think it’s going to be the best buy of this year:
My favorite shoes
Look at them, how can you not love them and yet the best. They are darn compfortable despite the high heels. I am going to run, dance and sleep in these and next year, I will make sure to buy even two more pairs of the same caliber.

Golly, I have to post yet a picture of them – they are sexy and feminine:
Heavenly Korean shoes

All in all, a good shoe vacation this year.

Granny shoes

July 2, 2006 at 9:15 am (practical)

I know they smell of Grandma’, cruise, Burberry Golf clothes and unsexy practicalness, but I bought these white leather Tommy Hilfiger shoes on sale in Copenhagen.

I think, despite lacking sexiness, I will grow quite fond of them in my closet.

Sometimes, when I complain about the burden of being a woman with a love for stilettoes, I read this article and stop complaining – pronto.

Why am I not on your blogroll?

June 21, 2006 at 7:24 am (practical)

My blogroll is growing, but only slowly and you might ask yourself, why your blog is not on my list. Well, it could be one of three reasons:

1. I have not discovered you yet – that can be dealt with as you can place a comment here and tadaaahh – I know you.
2. Your blog is not about shoes but more about fashion – respect for all the fashion blogs, they are great, but I try to stick to shoes. I do no mind a joke or two, but the main numbers of blogs have to be about shoes.
3. You are a commercial porn blog

But besides that, I try to embrace them alle, the artist, the professional shoemaker, the male and female shoelover…do I miss somebody?

Shoes from another perspective

Art shoes are lots of fun! Lucien Dulfien has a lot of fun, I hope.
Hold your shoes – if not, the shoes might need a test.

Before I hit the sack, I must post this – origami shoes – and you can even download a pdf with instructions. There is really no excuse for not getting started – but hey, how can I use these paper shoes?
